Recollection: Monaco, August, 2003
I’m writing on-the-spot in order not to miss even a single moment. I’m at my sister’s and her family’s. I spontaneously joined them on their holiday cruise. The marina in Monaco is of exquisite beauty. The rows of snow-white yachts, the sun, the divine panoramas and the all-embracing sense of joy. We’re sailing off. The kids are jumping into the water, diving and creating a lot of happy fuss. We’re sunbathing, laughing and gobbling down fresh pineapples, oranges and grapefruits from a fruit bowl full of exotic fruits. The ice cubes are clinking in the jugs filled with water and lime…
If family happiness has any shape, then this is it.
